Discussion Boards: Setting Up a Forum
Locate Discussion Board in the Blackboard Course Management menu:
Select Create Forum
Text boxes will appear requiring a Title and Description for the Forum.
Next are options to set Forum Availability:
Forum Settings - these options allow for management and delivery of the Forum:
If the second option is selected, the participant will see this message when the forum is accessed.
Grading options:
Creation of a Graded Forum or Threads will add a column to the Grade Center for those scores.
Subscribing option:
This option allows participants to opt to receive email notifications when a forum is added to.
Create and Edit options to make available to participants:
Forced Moderation is not recommended. It requires the instructor to review and release all submissions before they can be viewed.
