Tests: Exporting and Importing Tests in Blackboard

Tests created in Blackboard copy over in a course copy, but there are times when a test needs to be added to existing courses. Exporting and Importing are the functions that make it possible to add new tests to existing courses or share a test with a colleague.

To export a test in Blackboard:

Go to Control Panel>Course Tools>Tests, Surveys, and Pools>Tests.

Locate the test and hover next to the test name. 

From the dropdown menu that appears, select Export to Local Computer. A zip file will be produced.

To import a test into another section:

Go to Control Panel>Course Tools>Tests, Surveys, and Pools>Tests.

Select the Import Test button to upload an exported test file.

Once a test has been imported to a course, it must be deployed for students to access it.
